Brian J Kapp, CFA
Portfolio Manager, Principal
Kapp/Scanlon Financial Group

Brian J. Kapp serves as Principal and Portfolio Manager for the Kapp/Scanlon Financial Group. Prior to establishing the Kapp/Scanlon Financial Group, Brian held the positions of Portfolio Manager and Resident Manager with UBS Financial Services. Previously, Brian served as Portfolio Manager and Financial Planner with Merrill Lynch and before that worked at Bisys Fund Services in Institutional Money Market Funds.

Brian is a Chartered Financial Analyst® and member of the CFA Society of Pittsburgh. In addition, he completed the College for Financial Planning CFP® Professional Education Program. He earned a Bachelor of Science with University Honors in both Industrial Management and Economics from Carnegie Mellon University.

 

James B. Scanlon, CFP®
Financial Planner, Principal
Kapp/Scanlon Financial Group

James B. Scanlon serves as Principal and Financial Planner for the Kapp/Scanlon Financial Group. Prior to this, Jim held the positions of Portfolio Manager and Financial Planner for Merrill Lynch and later UBS Financial Services.

Jim attended the College for Financial Planning and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Mathematics from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In addition, Jim achieved the rank of Captain in the United States Marine Corps and is a decorated veteran of the Persian Gulf War.

 

Emma Kapp, MBA
Chief Marketing Officer
Kapp/Scanlon Financial Group

Emma Kapp serves as the Chief Marketing Officer for Kapp/Scanlon Financial Group. Prior to joining the Kapp/Scanlon Financial Group, she served as Publisher for a national business-to-business architectural coatings publication. Emma has 12+ years of marketing and sales experience through her roles as sales, sales manager, product manager, and principal of a strategic marketing consulting firm.

Emma earned an MBA from Point Park University and a BA from the University of Pittsburgh. She served two years as Vice President, Communications for the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Business Marketing Association and three years as a board member of this organization.
